Pivot Chart Excel Mac Ms Excel 2011 For Mac
I can confirm the pivot chart bug on excel for mac 2011, this is my biggest frustration as well. Currently working with beta version of 2015 office for mac , and excel has the same bug !!!. Are they not planning to fix it ? I have feedback back this issue, but no answer yet.
I've been unable to do this in (mac) excel 2011 but I just took a file created in 2011, turned on this option in 2016 (option does exist in mac office 2016) and then re-opened file in 2011. The setting stuck thru data refreshes and minor table changes such as adding additional fields in the "Values" section. Other than that, though, I've got no idea how sticky the setting is. Sadly just another example of how mac:office 2011 was not fully implemented.
I have designed a workbook that has a pivot table and pivot chart (graph) that derive their data from an Excel workbook on my local computer. It works fine. When I refresh the data, I AM NOT prompted for the file name (as is the case with CSV). I want to modify this workbook so that its data source is a CSV file located at a URL (versus in the local or network file system).
2. Is there a way to make this connection work so that when the Refresh command is executed, it DOES NOT prompt for the file name, but instead updates the data in the pivot table and chart without such a prompt as is the case with .xls files?

The purpose of these brief task analyses was to introduce a novel way of inserting phase change lines into Microsoft Excel line graphs. Additional editing to match behavior analytic graphing conventions should also be applied (e.g., adding axis and phase change labels, formatting data series, resizing graphs, eliminating gridlines, etc.) where necessary. Readers are encouraged to review the multitude of excellent comprehensive graphing tutorials available if they are unfamiliar with how to carry out these steps (see Dixon et al 2009; Pritchard 2009; Vanselow and Bourrett 2012).
Hi, i have 3 columns of data. I want the first 2 columns to be shown in overlapping bar chart and the 3 as separate. When i tried to select the 3rd series and change the bar style to side by side (normal), excel select all the three series and convert everything. Is there any solution, sir

I'm trying to find out if any version of excel supports the ability to use an image as a continuous fill within a chart. Currently I'm able to fill bars using a library image, but it reproduces the image in each bar. What I'm trying to do is effectively make the bars a transparent overlay of an image that would appear to sit behind them (but not otherwise appearing in the background which I'd have as a different texture/colour). I can do it by exporting a graph to a graphics package and editing there but wonder if there's a quick way to reproduce the effect within Excel.

I tried to update the Macro to use the code you mention in the post " -digital-help.com/2011/06/13/auto-refresh-a-pivot-table-in-excel/". Using this the macros runs but I get a run-time error '1004': Application-defined or object defined error.
I have an xml file thats exported from a third party tool. I import that into excel and add a column to the far left. In this column I do a match fucntion. This function matches specific data in one column of the xml data to "sheet2" which containes a list of codes that I care about. Then I create a pivot table that uses the match (1-30), ingnores blanks and NAs to filter my pivot. What gets displayed is all the information I care about. Works great. Problem is I'm doing this on a weekly basis and realize there must be a better way to link to the xml, still make my match to my codes and create a piviot table.
